Villages 10-13 Club Minutes, on April 16th, Sea Breeze Rec.
All Board members present, except Sgt at Arms, Kevin Connors
Pres Mike Spalding open the meeting @ 7:15pm, with the Pledge of Allegiance, & a momentof silence to all Military personnel, and First Responders, and any of our ill members.
Pres. Spalding, Introduce our guest speaker, Special FBI Agent Paul Brown, who spoke on the topic ofCounter- Terrorism, which included areas all over the world, their object is to destroy property & take lives.They target shopping malls, events centers, schools & churches. He also mentions what we can look for,this covered too much for me to write about. He took a few questions from the floor, some covered what hespoke about and some questions were not related to the topic. But if you need more info on this topic youcan call me, I will give you his Office Number. The Agent spoke for about an hour. Attendants at thismeeting were over 185.
Pres. Spalding, then closed this portion of our meeting, until all guest left the room, and continue with our regular meeting. Mike, inform all members present that he presented the BOD his letter of Resignationeffective April 30th., this was because of health & personnel issues. All members present gave a standing
ovations. He then turn the meeting over to VP Charlie Monahan, who will be the acting President until
the new election.
As this was a short meeting, we waved the minutes of last months reading, an the Treasure's report.
VP Monahan inform the members that one our own, Arthur Donelan, who was hospitalize this week.Monahan also told the members that if we know of any member who is ill, to notify the Board.
Bereavement fund tickets still available @ $20 ea. Also please don't forget the mega raffle from the
National 10-13, tickets available. $100.
We have a new member, Joseph Miraglia, Det 2nd grade.
Also, Bereavement raffle ticket was held, winner this month, Charles Thomassen, second time.,50/50 was also held 3 winners.
Our annual picnic this year, is at Church Street Rec, Sunday, April 26th, at 2:30PM all paid members &spouses are free, guest @ $5PP. club will supply soft drinks etc. You must advice VP Charlie Monahan#205-8646, or Trustee Tom Reynolds #551-206-1046, if you plan to attend. we need a food count.Also, we are looking for people to help cook, the Board can't do it all.
