HR 218 qualification for Lake County residents
This is the schedule for HR 218 qualification for Sumter County for the 2015 calendar year.Please note it will take place over four(4) days and not in consecutive weeks.

Hello and Good Afternoon,
The date are set for January on the following days January 15-16 and then again on the29th and 30th. for the retired Law Enforcement weapons qualification. We will need to do the qualifying over a 4-day period. There will be a morning and afternoon group on both days. I have attached the letter and schedule. Please contact me either by email or by phone.
In the past the Retired Police and Firefighters Club members have signed up through Lyn Lobdell , but this year all participants will have to sign up through me, Theresa Cooper. For the participants that are not part of the Retired Police and Firefighters Club you will need to contact me just like you have always done in the past. This is my direct telephone number at the office 352-689-4604; please do not give this number out to the general public, it is for your use only for the weapons qualification. For all other calls to the Villages annex Sheriff’s Office please use 352-689-4600.

Firearms Qualification for
Retired Law Enforcement Officers
Sumter County Sheriff Bill Farmer is inviting you to lunch and firearms qualification. If you are assigned to the morning time slot please arrive by 7:30 am if you plan to have coffee & donuts. Anyone planning to have lunch should be at the Range by 11:30 am.
Where: The Sumter County Sheriffs Office Gun Range is located at 999 County Road 529A Sumterville, Florida. County Road 529A, runs south off of County Road 470. There is a sign that reads “Sumter County Sheriff’s Office Gun Range”, and it is clearly posted at the turn to County Road 529A. A marked patrol car will be at the intersection. If you need to call on the day of the shoot for directions, please call 352-569-1600 and someone can direct you.

Time: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Qualifications will be done in 2 groups AM & PM.
Group 1: 8:00 am – 11:30 am

Directions: South on Hwy 301.
Turn right onto SR 44.
Get on I-75 going south.
Get off at the next exit Lake Panasoffkee.
Turn left onto 470 going east. Go under I-75 and over the railroad tracks, continue for approx. 2 miles look for a lighted sign at the entrance on the right hand side of road.
Location address is 999 CR 529A Sumterville.
DIRECTIONS FROM BUSHNELL:
Get on I-75 go north. Get off at next exit at Lake Panasoffkee.
Turn right onto 470 going east. Go over the railroad tracks; continue for approx. 2 miles look for marked patrol car at entrance on the right hand side of road.

DIRECTIONS FROM HERNANDO COUNTY:
Get on I-75 go north.
Get off at the Lake Panasoffkee exit.
